This little Modification will give you option to use default Read Receipt in Private Messages.
go to Admin Control Panel > Search in Templete > Search for "pm_newpm"
find:
Add after:
(Please note this will work only in New PMs,. or When you reply someone,.,. in quick reply it will not work)
